Highgrove Barn is situated in a peaceful rural area of outstanding natural beauty, just minutes away from the thriving village of Painswick. Placed on a hill in the Stroud district, overlooking the Stroud valleys, Painswick was voted one of the top ten prettiest villages and it is affectionately called the Queen of the Cotswolds.
The surrounding area also goes through ‘Paradise’, so named by King Charles 1st who on seeing the beautiful valley to the east said “This must be Paradise”. It is the most gorgeous countryside where “Cider With Rosie” was set and written by Lauri Lee in the nearby Slad Valley.
People come from all over the world to enjoy walking “The Cotswold Way”
